Frame by Frame wrote music according to the strict form known
as "short form pop instrumental", in which rock songs in the
popular style are stripped of their lyrics, repetition, and
solos.
During the 18 or so months Frame by Frame (and it's spinoff, Park Lane) existed, they produced about one hour's worth of finest short form pop rock instrumentals made in Pittsburgh during that era. Although out of print for nearly a decade, these bootlegs exist as a testament to the lasting power of the songwriting, performance, and production which defined Frame by Frame. Live recordings from the band's North American and European tours are scarce and typically of lower quality than the original show. One member promised he had some FBF memorbilia to contribute to this site (including the long lost album art with the missing song names), alas, it was actually in storage. It has been promised to this web site when it becomes available. The band plans to reform when the time has come for that old song they used to play in Joe's garage. And if I am not wrong, you will soon be dancing to... |
To hell with that, play the new stuff for me!
